Are you looking to rent a RV but don’t know what to choose? Booking a RV rental may seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t need to be! We have complied the answers to the most common questions renters have when choosing a RV for their trip.
What Type of RV Should I Rent?
There are several different types of RV’s available. You want to determine what will work best for your family and the trip you will be taking. The first thing to consider is do you have a tow vehicle? If so, what is the towing capacity? This can determine the size/weight of the camper you can tow. When you do not have a tow vehicle or do not want to tow yourself you can choose a otravel trailer to be delivered to your location. D0 plan on taking a trip that will be a long distance with multiple stops? You may want to consider renting a driveable RV or towing a camper yourself.
Travel Trailer
A travel trailer is made to tow behind a SUV, van, or truck using a hitch. Travel trailers include all of the comforts of a house.
Class A
Generally the largest and most luxurious type of RV. Separate master bedroom and plenty of cargo storage.
Class C
Mid sized RV intended for larger families or groups. Extra sleeping quarters or storage above drivers cab.
Who Can Travel In a RV?
A RV can be great for any age! Take into account how many people will be traveling and make sure the camper you are looking at has the appropriate amount of beds.
When children are traveling with you and you are renting a motorhome, you will also want to consider that there will be enough lap belts to secure the appropriate child safety restraints.
If you want to bring your pets along, make sure to be honest and let the RV rental agency know you will be traveling with pets. The Camper Connection allows pets in most of our rental units. There may be an addtional one time cleaning fee for pets.
