Just because you don’t own a truck doesn’t mean that you can’t try RVing! Ditch the tent and book a small, compact RV to explore. Here is some information you will need to know when towing; first your SUV must have a 2-inch receiver for the hitch to go into (don’t worry we can provide the hitch for your rental). Your SUV will need a 7-prong trailer plug, if you have a 4-prong plug you can get an adapter here. Next, you will need an electric brake controller, if your car is not equipped with one, you can get a Bluetooth wireless one here. You can also check with your local branch to see if they have one available for rent. Before booking an RV, you will need to check the tow capacity of your SUV to determine the size of camper to rent. This information will be in your manufacturer’s guide for your vehicle. Typically, SUV’s can tow small travel trailers ranging from 1500-5000 pounds.
