Campgrounds Open Year Round

Looking to getaway this winter?  Summers are busy and we don’t always get much time to travel.  Winter travel can be a great option but If you are traveling through the Northern states it can be difficult to find a campground open due to freezing temperatures. Check out these campgrounds that are open all year round.  They can be the perfect destination or a good place to stop for a night or two before you head to the next place.

Old Mill Stream

This campground is found in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, in Lancaster, PA. The campground is family friendly and offers full hookups although they don’t guarantee water after November 1st, due to possible freezing temperatures. Grand Canyon KOA

Located in Williams, AZ, this KOA features a new pool and spa and is dog friendly.  It is the closest KOA to the Grand Canyon.  In the local area you can explore the National Park, take the Grand Canyon Railway, visit the Flagstaff National Monuments or just relax by the campfire.  If your are looking to camp in a different area, read this blog post which highlights all of the KOA campgrounds that are open year-round.

Shelburne Camping Area

The location of this campground, in Shelburne, VT makes it a great getaway for families.  It is privately owned and It is minutes away from the Shelburne Teddy Bear Factory, Shelburne Museum, and Lake Champlain. For adults their are local wineries and Burlington is close by with unique shopping and dining experiences.

Sun N Fun

Want to enjoy “Sun and Fun” this winter?  Head to Sarasota, FL!  This family friendly campground offers lots of activities onsite including a pool, playground, and exercise facility. Tower Park Resort
